To assist with LatinSF’s expansion, we are looking for a can-do and creative candidate to help the program with maintaining its day to day operations, while learning how economic development is done and how LatinSF supports the growth of tech ecosystems throughout Latin America. As a part of our dynamic team, program associates will be able to interact with startups, government officials from across Latin America and enterprises while having the opportunity to work on meaningful projects that will accelerate their own professional development.

Internship Responsibilities:

    • Conduct extensive market and company research;
    • Assist LatinSF Director and staff with administrative tasks, including finance and accounting, database management, schedule management;
    • Assist in the coordination to host business/government delegations visiting San Francisco City Hall, local companies, and LatinSF;   
    • Assist with events (e.g. industry events, business events, conferences, etc.);   
    • Attend client development meetings, take notes and follow up as appropriate;
    • Helping with LatinSF external communications through social media;  
    • Assist with other necessary tasks as appropriate.   


    • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
    • Familiarity with Google Suite;
    • Strong research skills;
    • Ability to use online databases and marketing software;
    • Strong interest in global economic, trade, and business relations;
    • English and fluency in either Spanish or Portuguese required;
    • Ability to use WordPress desired;
    • A background or studies in Economic/Business Development desired;
    • Ability to work independently and efficiently.

Preference will be given to candidates fluent in Portuguese and/or with experience working in Brazil.
